The Ogbodo family of Amakpu Agbani in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State has joined well-wishers across the state and beyond in celebrating His Royal Highness, Igwe Professor Christian Nwachukwu Okeke of Obinofia Ndiuno, ahead of his forthcoming coronation and first Ofala Festival.

The coronation and Ofala ceremony is scheduled to hold on December 28, 2028, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Obinofia Ndiuno, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, and is expected to attract dignitaries, traditional rulers, clergy and members of the wider community.

In a goodwill message released ahead of the historic event, the Ogbodo family described the coronation as a landmark moment not only for Obinofia Ndiuno but for the entire traditional institution, noting that Igwe Okeke’s emergence represents the enthronement of integrity, wisdom and proven leadership.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr. Emmanuel Ogbodo said the celebration is a recognition of a lifetime of service and excellence that makes the traditional ruler deserving of honour, support and heartfelt goodwill.

“This forthcoming coronation and first Ofala Festival is more than a ceremonial event; it is a celebration of a life lived with integrity, wisdom and distinction,” Ogbodo said. “His Royal Highness has, for decades, distinguished himself in the legal profession, navigating its complex corridors with brilliance and upholding the scales of justice with honour.”

He noted that Igwe Okeke’s transition from a distinguished legal career to the ancestral throne of his people places Obinofia Ndiuno in safe and capable hands.

“His transition from a respected legal luminary to the traditional ruler of his people is a blessing to the community. It brings to the throne a wealth of experience, a disciplined mind and a deep sense of fairness that will positively shape the governance of the kingdom,” he added.
