The Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, Chief Dr. Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, has declared his unflinching support for the administration of Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, citing what he described as transformative leadership and a business-friendly environment.
In a statement shared on Monday across his social media platforms, Onuokaibe said his company, First Choice Afro Villa Ltd, is “vehemently in support” of Governor Mbah’s administration, noting that the governor’s audacious vision has turned what once seemed impossible into reality for the people of Enugu State.
He pointed to the construction of 260 Smart Green Schools across the state—one of which is located in his hometown of Mburubu—the rollout of 260 Type Two Primary Healthcare Centres, and the ongoing Nara–Mburubu–Nomeh Road project, which he said is over 60 per cent completed, as clear evidence of purposeful governance.
According to him, “as a son of Mburubu and a progressive citizen of Enugu State,” the scale and impact of the projects make it imperative for him to openly support the governor’s administration.
Onuokaibe also dismissed concerns over water supply in the state, stating that the government has recorded significant improvement in that sector. He noted that his Enugu residence, which previously suffered from irregular water supply, now enjoys steady access to water.
He further applauded the Enugu Air initiative, describing it as a landmark achievement. “I fly Enugu Air twice every week,” he said, adding that the state-owned airline represents a major leap into 21st-century governance and infrastructure development.
The real estate developer said his businesses—First Choice Afro Villa, which owns Papilo Villa Estate in Iva Valley, First Choice Estate in Agbogazi Nike, among others—are flourishing largely due to the safe and stable environment created by the Mbah administration.
He expressed pride in being associated with the governor and voiced confidence that Mbah’s administration would successfully drive Enugu’s development agenda for eight years before handing over to another leader who would sustain the vision.
