The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Mr. Sani Musa Daura as Senior Special Assistant on Protocol Matters, reinforcing the minister’s protocol team with decades of institutional experience.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Mr. Lere Olayinka, who described Daura as a highly seasoned public servant with deep expertise in protocol management.
According to Olayinka, “Mr. Sani Musa Daura is a career civil servant with over 30 years’ experience in the FCTA Protocol Department, bringing a wealth of professionalism, institutional memory, and technical competence to the role.”
He noted that Daura, who has served as Director of FCT Protocol since 2019, is scheduled to retire from the Federal Capital Territory Administration on January 24, 2026.
The statement clarified that Daura’s new appointment will take effect immediately upon his retirement from the civil service, ensuring continuity and stability in protocol operations within the FCT administration.

Olayinka added that the appointment reflects the Minister’s confidence in Daura’s capacity to support high-level official engagements and uphold best practices in protocol management.
