The Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST) has emerged as the Best Performing Ministerial SERVICOM Unit for 2025, earning national recognition for its strong commitment to efficient, transparent, and people-centred service delivery.
The award, presented under the SERVICOM framework, also recognised the best-performing nodal desk officer, highlighting the ministry’s consistent alignment with the Federal Government’s public service reform agenda and its focus on citizen satisfaction.
Reacting to the honour, the Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, SAN, commended the SERVICOM team for what he described as their outstanding dedication, professionalism, and responsiveness to the needs of citizens.
He said the recognition reinforces the ministry’s belief that effective service delivery remains central to strengthening public trust, accountability, and confidence in government institutions.
Dr. Udeh added that the ministry would continue to support initiatives that promote efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction across all its departments and agencies.
Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Philip Ndiomu, praised the SERVICOM Unit, noting that the award reflects strong teamwork and an unwavering commitment to service excellence. He said the performance of the Ministerial SERVICOM Unit and nodal desk officers demonstrates that motivated and focused public servants can significantly improve service delivery outcomes.
The ministry stated that the recognition further strengthens its resolve to deliver improved results and sustain high standards in public service performance.
