Enugu State is set to host the grand finale of the Enugu Campus Hackathon, a landmark event that brings together student innovators, technology leaders, policymakers, and ecosystem partners to spotlight bold ideas and practical solutions shaping the future of innovation in the state.
Scheduled for Friday, February 20, 2026, at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu, the finale marks the culmination of months of intense collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving by students drawn from tertiary institutions across the state. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. (WAT).
At the final stage, shortlisted teams will pitch technology-driven solutions aimed at tackling real-world challenges, underscoring the growing impact of youth-led innovation in Enugu. Organisers say the showcase affirms that the next generation of tech talent is already emerging and contributing meaningfully to development.
Describing the initiative as a critical investment in the state’s future, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a thriving innovation ecosystem.
“Our goal is simple: to build an Enugu where ideas thrive, talent is empowered, and innovation drives shared prosperity,” the governor said.
The grand finale is expected to attract key stakeholders from the technology and innovation space, offering participants opportunities for exposure, partnerships, and support to scale their ideas from concept to impact.
Attendance is open to the public, with interested participants encouraged to register via https://enugucampushackathon.ng/finale.
Organisers say the event represents more than a competition, describing it as a celebration of ingenuity, ambition, and the future being built by young innovators—right in the heart of Enugu.
