President Bola Tinubu has approved a fresh round of strategic appointments into key federal agencies, including the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), and the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President announced the appointment of Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the new Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex, Abuja.
SHESTCO is Nigeria’s foremost science and technology institution charged with advancing research and development, including the operation of a nuclear research facility critical to national scientific growth.
President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
According to the statement signed by Onanuga, the President further constituted the board of NEMSA with seasoned professionals drawn from across the country. The appointees include Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical); Ikechi Clara Nwosu as Chairman representing the South-East; Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris (Member); Igba Elizabeth (Member, North Central); Sani Alhaji Shehu (Member, North East); Adeyemi Adetunji (Member, South West); Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (Member, South South); and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (Member, South East).
“The appointments are part of the President’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, professionalism, and service delivery in critical national institutions,” the statement read.
In addition, President Tinubu nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Onanuga disclosed that the nominations have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation, in line with constitutional requirements.
