The City Boy Movement, a socio-political support group led by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has gained fresh momentum in the South-East following a major show of support from prominent Igbo businessmen.
On Wednesday, the group’s South-East coordinator, Obinna Iyiegbu — popularly known as Obi Cubana — took delivery of several vehicles donated by wealthy supporters to boost the movement’s operations across the region.
A video circulating on social media captured the moment the fleet was unveiled, showing multiple brand-new buses and vehicles lined up for deployment.
Businessman Cletus Uzoezie Oragwa, widely known as Zenco, reportedly led the list of donors with the contribution of about 10 new buses.
Speaking in the video, one of the donors identified as C-Energy explained the motivation behind the support, saying the group’s expansion could no longer be ignored.
“We have to support the movement because it’s unstoppable and time has come for us to be part of the system,” he said.
While inspecting the vehicles, Obi Cubana expressed appreciation to the donors and hinted at even bigger plans ahead.
“More is coming…,” he said, adding, “it’s a movement and such, can’t stand in one place.”
The latest development many have said is a demonstration of the growing visibility of the City Boy Movement in the South-East, as it continues to attract backing from influential business figures in the region.
