The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken an early lead in the chairmanship race at four polling units located within LEA Primary School, Kubwa II, in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Results announced by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) show a closely contested battle between the ADC and the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the ADC posting a narrow but decisive advantage across the affected units.

Across the four polling units, the ADC secured a total of 67 votes in the chairmanship contest, while the APC trailed with 40 votes. The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) polled 21 votes, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) recorded 20 votes.

Despite the competitive figures, the exercise was characterised by voter apathy and reports of vote buying. Out of 4,063 registered voters across the polling centre, only 181 voters were accredited and cast their ballots — a turnout widely described as low.
