Gunmen have abducted six worshippers after invading a Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) in Uso, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Wednesday while members were holding an early-morning service, throwing the church community into panic.
The latest abduction comes barely four days after unknown assailants kidnapped a couple at Ilu-Abo community in Akure North Local Government Area of the state.
The back-to-back incidents have heightened anxiety among residents, as Ondo State continues to grapple with a surge in violent attacks since the beginning of the year.
The growing wave of insecurity has intensified concerns over the safety of communities, particularly in rural areas where worship centres and residential communities have increasingly become targets.
