The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has alerted Nigerians to a fraudulent website circulating online under the title “INEC VOTERS CARD ONLINE REGISTRATION,” warning that the platform is fake and not authorized by the Commission.
In a public notice issued by the electoral body, INEC categorically disowned the link currently being shared, stating that it neither created nor approved the site.
“The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to notify the general public that a website currently circulating under the title ‘INEC VOTERS CARD ONLINE REGISTRATION’ is fake, misleading, and not authorized by the Commission,” the notice stated.
The Commission further clarified:
“The Commission did not originate, approve, or endorse the following link: https://tinyurl.com/INEC-PVC-Registration-2026.”
INEC warned members of the public against visiting the site or submitting personal information through the link, describing it as fraudulent.
“Members of the public are strongly advised not to visit the site or submit any personal information through the link, as it is fraudulent,” the statement added.

To eliminate confusion, the Commission reiterated that the only approved portal for Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) services is its official website.
“For the avoidance of doubt, the only official Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) Portal approved by INEC” for services including:
- Update of voter registration information
- Transfer of voter registration to another polling unit
- Replacement of lost or damaged Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs)
- Location of registration centres for first-time registration
