The Anambra State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has nominated the spokesman of the Anambra State Police Command, Ikenga Tochukwu, for its prestigious 2026 Lifetime Reputation Management Award, one of the Institute’s highest recognitions for professional integrity and public service.
The nomination, announced by the NIPR Anambra leadership, followed what the Institute described as a rigorous multi-level evaluation process that examined Tochukwu’s record of public service, leadership impact, ethical standing and long-term contributions to society.
According to the Institute, Tochukwu’s “unwavering commitment to credibility, integrity and positive influence clearly distinguished him as a benchmark of reputation excellence and public confidence.”
Founded in 1963 and granted statutory status in 1990 under Cap N114, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN) 2004, the NIPR is Nigeria’s apex regulatory body for public relations practice. For more than six decades, the Institute has promoted ethical standards, professional discipline, strategic communication and reputation management across both public and private sectors. As a result, honours conferred by the Institute are widely regarded as national recognition of character, professional excellence and legacy.
The formal decoration of Tochukwu will take place during the 2026 NIPR Anambra State Chapter Annual General Meeting (AGM) themed “Managing Reputation Capital in the Digital Age: Influence, Integrity and Impact.”
The event is scheduled for Friday, March 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with awardees expected to be seated by 9:45 a.m., at Hollywood Event Place in Awka, along the Onitsha–Enugu Expressway.
Tochukwu has been invited to attend the ceremony with his entourage as stakeholders, colleagues and well-wishers gather to celebrate what the Institute described as a career defined by enduring reputation capital and invaluable contributions to the public good.
The Institute also announced that goodwill congratulatory messages have been opened, giving family members, friends, organisations and admirers an opportunity to celebrate the milestone.
In a congratulatory note jointly signed by Dr. Nelson Omerugha, Chairman of the AGM/Summit Committee, and Chinenye M. Anyakora, Secretary, the Institute said the nomination was “richly deserved and reflective of a legacy that continues to inspire excellence, integrity and impact across generations.”
