Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has approved the appointment of key officials and special advisers to strengthen governance and service delivery in Anambra State.
In a statement issued on March 23, 2026, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, announced the appointments, describing them as part of efforts to reposition the state’s administrative structure.
“Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has approved fresh appointment of key officials to serve in various capacities within the State Government,” Aburime stated.
According to the statement, Barr. (Mrs) Ngozi Iwouno has been appointed Head of Service, while Barr. Joachin Peters Anetoh will serve as Principal Secretary to the Governor.
Dr. Ben Nwankwo has been named Chief of Staff, and Prof. Frank-Collins Okafor will serve as State Chief of Protocol. Barr. Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, has been appointed Attorney-General of the State, while Aburime continues as Chief Press Secretary.
Other appointments include Dr. Vincent Egbuna Okechi as Deputy Chief of Staff and Ms Ngozi Lucy Okoye as Deputy State Chief of Protocol.
The Governor also approved the appointment of Dr. Godwin Nnadozie as Special Adviser on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, Ms Chinwe Okoli as Special Adviser on Innovation and Business Incubation and CEO of the Solution Innovation District, and Prof. (Engr) Ebuka Nwankwo as Special Adviser on Special Projects as well as Director of Project Evaluation and Monitoring.
Mr. Ken Emeakayi was named Special Adviser on Community Security.
Aburime noted that the appointments take immediate effect, underscoring the administration’s commitment to efficient governance and strategic development across key sectors.
