The Chairman of the APC Youth Progressive Forum, Ukkasha Hamza Rahama, has thrown his weight behind Ben Nwoye for the position of Deputy National Chairman (South), describing him as the most qualified candidate for the role.
Speaking at a press conference on March 26, 2026, Rahama said Nwoye’s track record of loyalty and service to the All Progressives Congress (APC) makes him the ideal choice to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Dr. Nwoye has proven himself to be an ideal candidate for the position of Deputy National Chairman (South),” Rahama stated. “With decades of unwavering loyalty and commitment to the progress of the APC, he stands out as a champion of the South region.”
He noted that Nwoye’s vision goes beyond rhetoric, focusing on mobilisation, empowerment, and economic inclusion, particularly for youths and women.
“Dr. Nwoye’s vision for the APC is not just about rhetoric but about revolutionary action. He aims to mobilize millions of Nigerians to renew their mandate for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, while opening floodgates of empowerment, employment, training, and global opportunities that will reward loyalty, uplift the forgotten, and ignite the brightest futures for women and youth,” he said.
Rahama outlined a grassroots mobilisation strategy that would cut across the South-East, South-South, and South-West, leveraging both traditional engagement and digital outreach.
“His mobilisation strategy is elegant and unstoppable, a grassroots symphony of town-hall dialogues, digital town criers, and community champions that will sweep across every ward, village, and city,” he said. “Imagine a network of 10,000 trained APC ambassadors… carrying President Tinubu’s message of security, economic revival, and inclusive growth into every household.”
He added that culturally relevant communication in local languages would be key to energising voters ahead of 2027.
“Through culturally resonant storytelling in Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Efik, and pidgin, Dr. Nwoye will rekindle the fire of 2023, ensuring that 2027 becomes not just a victory, but a landslide of historic proportions,” Rahama said.
The APC youth leader further stressed Nwoye’s commitment to rewarding party loyalists through structured empowerment programmes in collaboration with federal institutions.
“Dr. Nwoye’s genius lies in his unshakable commitment to reward those who sacrificed for victory. Through strategic collaboration with key Federal Ministries, Departments and Agencies, he will architect a comprehensive empowerment ecosystem,” he stated.
He highlighted plans for targeted grants, business training, and access to financial support for party members.
“Party faithfuls who mobilised, canvassed, and delivered votes will no longer be spectators; they will be first beneficiaries,” Rahama said. “Thousands… will receive targeted grants, business training, and access to CBN’s intervention funds through a new ‘APC Southern Prosperity Window.’”
On youth development, he added:
“Youths who braved the sun and rain during campaigns will gain priority access to N-Power 2.0, digital skills academies, and international training scholarships.”
Rahama also revealed plans for international partnerships aimed at building capacity in key sectors.
“Dr. Nwoye has already begun laying the groundwork for partnerships that will send hundreds of deserving party members abroad for specialised training in renewable energy, agribusiness, technology, and healthcare,” he said.
He further disclosed plans for job creation through a structured talent database.
“Through collaboration with federal agencies and private sector giants, Dr. Nwoye will create a dedicated ‘APC South Talent Pipeline’… matching loyal party members with jobs in infrastructure, creative industries, agriculture, and the blue economy,” he added.
The initiative, he said, would also guarantee vocational training, internships, and employment opportunities.
At the core of Nwoye’s agenda, Rahama noted, is a strong focus on women and youth inclusion.
“Dr. Nwoye will institutionalise a ‘Women and Youth Empowerment Desk’… ensuring that every federal programme is ring-fenced for APC members who delivered victory. Women will receive micro-credit facilities, leadership training, and political mentorship,” he said.
Concluding, Rahama urged party delegates to rally behind Nwoye’s candidacy.
“Dr. Ben Nwoye is not just a candidate… he is a visionary leader who has dedicated his life to the progress of the APC and the South region. We urge all delegates to support his candidacy and join us in building a brighter future for the APC and Nigeria,” he stated.
