Former Abia State governor and Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed pride in his daughter, Neya Kalu, highlighting her growing impact in Nigeria’s private sector and her role in bridging business and governance.
In a statement following the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention, Kalu described his daughter’s presence at the high-level gathering as both a personal milestone and a symbol of emerging leadership.
“There is no greater joy for a father than to see his child not only follow in the footsteps of service but to carve out their own path of excellence,” he said.
Kalu noted that Neya, whom he described as a “mogul” in the private sector, has consistently stepped in to represent his interests with a fresh and industrial perspective.
“I was immensely proud to have my daughter, Neya Kalu, by my side at this year’s APC National Convention. As a ‘Mogul’ in the private sector, Neya has continuously stepped into the gap for me, bringing a fresh, industrial perspective to the table,” he stated.
According to the senator, her presence among top political leaders during the convention reflected more than a family moment, but a strategic link between governance and enterprise.
“Her presence in the executive box with our nation’s leaders was more than just a family moment—it was a strategic bridge. It is through leaders like her that we can truly align the government’s development agenda with the practical needs of the private sector to better serve the Nigerian people,” Kalu added.

He further commended her dedication to national development, expressing confidence in the role of emerging leaders in shaping Nigeria’s future.
“Neya, thank you for consistently making me proud and for your unwavering commitment to our nation’s growth. The future of Nigerian industry and policy is in capable hands,” he said.
