The Enugu MSME & Startup Agency has called on youths, women, artisans, creatives, and entrepreneurs across Enugu State to take advantage of a new large-scale skills development initiative aimed at boosting employability and economic growth.

In a statement released on Monday, March 30, 2026, the agency announced the rollout of the 10 Million Nigerian Youths & Women Upskilling Initiative, a programme designed to equip participants with globally relevant and industry-recognised skills.

The initiative, delivered through WAWUAfrica and its partners, is part of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and aligns with the human capital development drive of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Describing the programme as a major opportunity, the agency urged residents to seize the moment.

“Enugu youths, women, artisans, creatives, and entrepreneurs — this is your moment,” the statement read.

Participants will have access to free, Continuing Professional Development (CPD)-accredited training across multiple high-impact sectors, including technology and digital skills, business and entrepreneurship, hospitality and tourism, creative arts and design, skilled trades and engineering, healthcare and wellness, as well as personal and leadership development.

According to the agency, the programme is structured to deliver practical, hands-on skills that can drive employment, business growth, and global competitiveness.

“This is more than a training programme. It is a platform for upskilling, certification, empowerment, and economic inclusion,” the statement noted.

The agency further emphasized that the initiative reflects a broader commitment to building a skilled, job-ready, and future-focused workforce in Enugu State.

“It reflects the shared commitment to building an Enugu workforce that is skilled, job-ready, entrepreneurial, and future-facing,” it added.

Residents across the 17 local government areas were encouraged to register immediately to benefit from the programme via: https://wawuafrica.com/onboarding

“The future belongs to those who prepare for it. This is the time to learn, get certified, and position yourself for greater opportunities,” the agency stated.
