Newly elected Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ben Nwoye, has pledged to unite the party and strengthen internal cohesion, declaring that there will be “no room for division” under his leadership.

Nwoye made the declaration on Monday, March 30, 2026, upon assumption of office at the party’s National Secretariat.

Expressing gratitude for his emergence, he said, “I stand before you today with a heart full of gratitude, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility, having been entrusted with the office of Deputy National Chairman (South) of our great party.”

He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, noting that, “Your leadership continues to inspire confidence, courage, and renewed hope in our party and in Nigeria.”

The APC chieftain also acknowledged the support of Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, describing his encouragement as invaluable.

“I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Enugu State… for his immense support and belief in my capacity to serve. Your encouragement has been invaluable,” he said.

Nwoye further appreciated party delegates and grassroots supporters across the country, stressing that his victory was a collective achievement.

“This victory is not mine alone—it belongs to every delegate across this country, to our committed grassroots supporters, and to all who believe in the future of our party and our nation,” he stated.

Unveiling his leadership agenda themed Renewed Unity and Renewed Bridge Building, Nwoye emphasized the need for reconciliation and inclusiveness within the party.

“Our party must rise above divisions, strengthen internal cohesion, and build bridges across regions, interests, and generations. We must reconnect with our base, listen more, engage more, and ensure that every member feels valued and included,” he said.

He pledged to work with all stakeholders to reposition the party for greater success ahead of future elections.

“I pledge to work with all and sundry—leaders, stakeholders, youth, women, and party faithful—to unite our great party. Together, we will build a stronger, more inclusive APC that truly reflects the aspirations of all Nigerians,” Nwoye added.

Reassuring party members of an inclusive leadership style, he declared, “There will be no room for exclusion. There will be no room for division. This is a time for healing, reconciliation, and collective progress.”

Looking ahead, the APC deputy national chairman vowed that the party would remain focused on winning future elections.

“As we move forward, we shall work tirelessly to reposition our party for greater success. Together, we shall march forward—united, focused, and determined—to secure victory for Mr. President and all candidates of our great party in future elections,” he said.

He concluded by calling on party members to embrace unity and collective responsibility in building a stronger APC.
