The Awkunanaw Clan in Enugu State has announced plans to host a mega rally in honour of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, citing what it described as his “transformative leadership” and impact on governance in the state.

The rally is scheduled to hold on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Awkunanaw Civic Center, Akpasha, Akegbe Ugwu, in Nkanu West Local Government Area, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In a public announcement, the clan invited sons and daughters of Awkunanaw, stakeholders, residents of Enugu State, and the general public to attend the event, which is aimed at celebrating the Governor’s achievements.

Praising Mbah’s administration, the clan said his leadership has become a model for others across the country.

“Your Excellency, your leadership in Enugu State has become a point of reference for other sub-nationals in the country, setting a new benchmark. You have redesigned and redefined good governance, and as a clan, we are proud of you,” the statement read.

The event is expected to attract a large turnout from within and outside the Awkunanaw Clan, as participants gather to celebrate the Governor’s performance and reaffirm their support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Awkunanaw Clan comprises several communities, including Akegbe Ugwu, Obuoffia, Amechi, Amodu, Umueze, Akwuke, Ugwuaji, and Obeagu.
