Thugs alleged to have hijacked APC Congress materials in Enugu State

Following the failure of some of  the party leaders in Enugu State to find a last solution to a peaceful conduct of the party Congress, APC in Enugu State is likely going to have two parallel congresses today.

Information from indicates that thugs have made away with the materials meant for the state congress today.

This according to an undisclosed source in the party was masterminded by APC zonal Vice Chairman Mr Emma Eneukwu. An  allegation that can’t be authenticated as at the time of writing this report.

The Zonal vice Chairman has been accused of working against the popular interest of the party members by trying to impose candidates that are alleged to be loyal to him.

It’s also alleged that other faithful members of the party have been prevented from getting the forms to contest for available positions.

Yesterday Friday, 4th May,  the Minister of foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyema convened a stakeholders meeting in Enugu in a bid to harmonise various interests. The meeting which was attended by Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, Special Advicer to the President on Justice reforms Barr. Juliet Ibekaku Nwagwu adviced Eneukwu and the Congress committee which is led by Odikpo Iyke to desist from any act capable of destroying the image of the party in the State and the zone.

With the events of today, it’s obvious that the meeting of yesterday yielded no results as the APC in Enugu State is likely going to produce two factions.
