The former Minister of Women affairs and Social development Aisha Al-Hasan popularly called Mama Taraba has officially announced her exit from the ruling party over what she described as unjust treatment from the party.

over her disqualification by the National Working Committee of APC on Thursday, September 27, on issues bordering on loyalty to the party.

The former minister on Saturday, September 29, defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to United Democratic Party (UDP).

We earlier reported that she resigned from President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet earlier on Saturday, September 29, following her disqualification by the ruling party to contest for governor of Taraba state.

She said she is joining the UDP alongside all her supporters.

It was gathered that she defected alongside seven APC members of the state House of assembly, a member of the House of Representatives and all the APC executives in the 16 local government areas and 169 wards of the state.
