The Senate President, Bukola Saraki on resumption of plenary on Wednesday swore in Ahmed Babba Kaita representing Katsina North and Lawal Yahaya Gumau representing Bauchi South as senators of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Kaita and Gumau will be taking over the seats of late Mustapha Bukar and Malam Ali Wakili who passed away months ago.
Saraki congratulated them for joining the Red Chamber after their swearing in.
“Let me on behalf of all of us congratulate our two new colleagues, Babba Kaita and Yahaya Gumau, for being sworn in today. You are most welcome to the Senate,” Saraki said.
