Non-indigenes residing in Bayelsa State have said that they are mobilizing intensively for the success of former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, during 2019 presidential election.
They have already declared operation show PVCs for all the non-indigenes in the state, urging every one of them to use their PVCs to enthrone good leaders for the country in 2019.
Chief Chinedu Arthur Ugwa, Coordinator of Non-Indigenes Association in the state, told journalists in Yenagoa on Monday that the group is a conglomeration of Igbos, Hausa, Yoruba and other ethic groups across Nigeria who have their citizens residing in Bayelsa State.
He said that they decided to mobilize themselves in the state to support the PDP presidential candidate because they believe in good governance which Atiku is capable of delivering.
According to him, Atiku’s policies are genuine and he meant well for Nigeria, he also has good plans to revamp and reposition Nigerian economy.
He said: “For now, Atiku remains the best candidate for president in 2019, even his running mate, Dr Peter Obi is a man that understands economic development, he ruled Anambra state for eight years without incurring any debt for the state, rather he left billions of naira in the state’s coffers.”
He maintained that they are on an intensive drive to ensure that all the non-indigenes in the state who constitute bulk of the voters are comfortable with Atiku for the presidency, so that the much agitated restructuring will be implemented.
