Oko community in Orumba south Local Government area of Anambra State woke up to heavy protest.
The protest which is being carried out by women in the community is against what they called “excessive excavation of sand in their community”.
According to the protesters, they said the continuous activity is making their community vulnerable to erosion which has enveloped the community.
The protesters were seen carrying various placards with various inscriptions.
They are calling on the state government to come to their aid to stop the activity in their community
