Following reports that a helicopter belonging to Nigeria police was captured in Omuaran, Kwara state, dropping cash for the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the forthcoming rerun election for a house of representative seat, the force headquarters has come out to react to the allegation.
The force took to their official tweeter handle to ask the public to ignore such baseless allegation as nothing like that happened.
“The Nigeria Police wishes to implore the General Public and the media to disregard and discountenance a publication in some social media platforms that an Helicopter belonging to the Force that landed at ST. PAUL PRIMARY SCHOOL, OMUARAN, Kwara State off- loaded cash into a vehicle.”
The rebuttal failed to address if the helicopter in contention belongs to the Nigeria Police.
