Obidigwe, Benjamin Chinedu, a House of Representatives aspirant for the Anambra East/West Federal constituency on Wednesday, 14th November led a gang of weapon bearing thugs to abduct Anambra based social justice crusader, Eneh, Victor Chigozie.
According to reports from eye witnesses, the five man gang of kidnappers led by the aspirant who is also perceived to be Anambra State’s de-facto governor carried out the nefarious act at about 2:00am on Thursday.
It was also revealed that while some members of the gang proceeded to abduct the victim, Mr. Obidigwe waited in a hideout off the highway connecting Enugu to Anambra State through Awka. On their arrival and confirmation that the operation was successful and the victim in their custody, the gang proceeded to Aguleri, the hometown of Gov. Willie Obiano, about 15 kilometeres from the hideout.
Supported by His aide, Dominic Okagbue, the victim who was gagged and handcuffed was thoroughly whipped, kicked and punched at random by members of the gang before the re-emergence of the leader of the gang, Mr. Obidigwe who authorised, took part and finally supervised another round of torture which left the victim with bruises, swells and blood clot.
Earlier this month, Victor had published verifiable materials all of which indicate that Mr. Obidigwe, a drop out who may have engaged in cult related crimes in tertiary institution is unfit to contest the forth coming elections for lacking required academic qualifications and deposing to an affidavit which sought to distort His actual age.
The said publication, sighted by The Insider which had multiple copies of the birth certificate, permanent voters card and other verifiable credentials of Mr. Obidigwe all had inserted in them different information which lend credence to the fact that Mr. Obidigwe maintains a different set of credentials for different purposes.
It is suspected that yesterday’s abduction of Mr, Eneh was in fulfillment of several threats by Mr. Obidigwe and His associated to crush individuals and groups opposed to the political ambition of Obidigwe.
This was reinforced when in the course of the torture of Mr Eneh, Obidigwe boasted that with the support of Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra State, He could commit and get away with the heinous crime of murder as according to Him “I am the Headmaster and will do as I like”.
