Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, Senator representing Bayelsa-East in the National Assembly have explained why the fight against Boko Haram insurgents is not working.
Bruce who tweeted on his Twitter page said the reason why the President Buhari’s fight against Boko Haram insurgency is not working is because of the president’s policy of releasing ‘repentant’ Boko Haram members.
According to Ben Bruce, the release of Boko Haram members who still go back to join the group are causing more harm to the society.
He said; “The anti terror war of this administration is not working because of its policy of releasing ‘repentant’ Boko Haram members.
“You can’t expect fire to go out when you are resupplying the fire with fuel. Don’t give terrorists a slap on the wrist. Give them a dirty slap on the face!
Recall that different factions of the Boko Haram sect have attacked different Nigeria military bases in the past week’s.
