Enugu State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sen. Ayogu Eze is confident that reconciliation of party members in the State would produce lasting peace.

He spoke on Sunday in Enugu when APC officials and members continued reconciling factions that arose from the primaries.
“I am confident that the reconciliation we are having will bring peace to the party,” Sen. Eze said at the meeting.

He thanked the committee for the great work it was doing.

Kano State Governor Umar Abdulahi Ganduje, who chairs the APC reconciliation committee in the South East led his members to listen to complaints about the primaries. Contestants in the primaries had the opportunity to air their grievances.

Some of them pleaded with the party hierarchy to refund money aspirants spent in purchase of nomination forms.

Governor Ganduje asked losers, in the primaries, to place the party’s interest in the election above theirs. “Remember also,” he said, “that the party is the binding force that unites all of us”. He stated that the unity of the party was the first step towards electoral victory.

South East Zonal Vice Chairman of APC, Emma Enukwu thanked all the party members and pleaded with those who lost in the primaries to embrace peace.

From the meeting, Sen. Eze and Governor Ganduje attended Father Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry for the church’s annual harvest and bazaar.
