It was a deluge of appreciations as the Role Models Foundation in conjunction with the Centre for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development took their Operation Feed and Clothe 100 Children for Christmas to the IDP Camp in Durumi and Gishiri Village all in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
Speaking at the event, the Girishi village head, Samuel Auta welcomed the team and thanked them for the kind gesture. He went on to note that the community is deeply appreciative of the fact that the groups decided to factor his community into their Christmas celebration plans.
Speaking on behalf of the organizers, the initiator, Role Models initiative, Mr. Graham Elendu expressed delight that the project saw the light of the day and thanked all who supported the initiative through their contributions, moral support, etc.
He also noted that this outreach could be a platform for all who are willing to touch the lives of others.
Mr. Elendu expressed shock that a community as this exists side-by-side the Maitama District of Abuja and urged other well-meaning Nigerians to do more to reach out to people in need around them.
