Succor came the way of the widows across all the 20 wards in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State as Hon. Chima Obieze, the member representing the constituency in Enugu State House of Assembly and Member, PDP Presidential Campaign Committee celebrated the yuletide with them.
The event which is a yearly ritual by Hon Obieze over the years saw the widows going home with Rice, Meat and cash gifts.
Hon. Obieze said this is one of the many things he does as his own little way of giving back to the society and his constituency that have shown him immeasurable love and support irrespective of their political party.
“What we are doing today is to tell our Mothers that have always supported us that their support is nothing compared to the love our mothers have shown me over the years even when I haven’t occupied a public office.
“The little we are giving out today will not solve all our problems but we are believing God that in the coming years, we will do better than we are doing today” he said.
The women prayed for Hon. Obieze and pledged to continue supporting him in all he does especially, voting for him to go back to the state house to continue representing them.
