The wife of Distinguished Senator Ayogu Eze, the APC guber candidate for Enugu State, Mrs. Nkechi AyoguEze was made the “National Grand Matron of Ndi Nne Enugu” today, 26th January, 2019, by the Leadership of The group “Ndi Nne Enugu”.
The leader of the group, Chief Lady Mrs. Evelyn Ahanonu- a two-time commissioner for Women Affairs in Enugu State said their choice of Mrs Nkechi AyoguEze is on the premise of her passion for service to mankind and benevolence.
“In consideration and appreciation of her sterling qualities of diligent hard work; her abiding care for the most vulnerable; her sustainable mobilization efforts towards gender empowerment and her commitment to securing equity, justice, inclusion and prosperity for our people.”
In her acceptance speech, Mrs Nkechi AyoguEze thanked the women for the honour and thanked God for giving her mothers like them because not everyone is blessed to have good mothers.
She assured them that she will continue to do her best to help mankind and will strive never to let them down.
Recall that Mrs Nkechi AyoguEze is the founder, Oak of Hope Foundation, an NGO that has been putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged in the society. Though this NGO, she has brought succor to the downtrodden and hope to the hopeless.
Mrs AyoguEze is also the head, Department of Gender and Human Rights, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Abuja and through her department, a lot of widows and girl child are been trained and empowered to be independent and self reliant.
Thus one can say that this is an honour well deserved.
