The Enugu East Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince Engr. Lawrene Ezeh (Prince Of Mburubu) has pledged to ensure the speedy completion of all federal government projects in the Zone if elected to office in the February 16, 2019 Elections.

He charged contractors handling projects in the Senatorial Zone to deliver the projects in line with the specifications, even as he described the projects as part of the legacies of President Muhammadu Buhari administration.

Prince Ezeh made these depositions during an on-the-spot monitoring of the level of works on some Federal projects in the Zone during the weel.

He lauded the peaceful disposition of the communities, adding that the initiative was in tandem with the peace and security, human capital and infrastructural development agenda of APC government.

Ezeh revealed that the inspection was to ascertain how far the contractors have adhered to the engineering design of the projects, know the challenges and see how he could be of personal help towards ensuring that work was not delayed.

He appealed to the contractors to engage the services of the community members in skill jobs and minor supply so as to give them a sense of belonging.

Prince Ezeh visited the Nenwe-Nomeh-Mburubu-Nara road; Ozalla-Akpugo Amagunze-Ihuokpara-Nkomoro Isu-Onitsha (Enugu/Onitsha) road; Akpasha (Umuatugbuoma) – Obiji offia, and Amodu roads respectively.

The construction of Nenwe-Nomeh-Mburubu-Nara road with spur to Obeagu Oduma road which N6,437,166,957.38 was budgeted and awarded to Arab Contractors Nigeria Limited with contract number: 6317. The projected was awarded on March 22, 2017 while the Ozalla-Akpugo Amagunze-Ihuokpara-Nkomoro Isu-Onitsha (Enugu/Onitsha) road with spur to Onunweke was awarded on November 10, 2010 to Arab Contractors Nigeria Limited for N6,769,939,488. The Akpasha (Umuatugbuoma) – Obiji offia, Amodu road in Nkanu West LGA was awarded to Slok Nigeria Limited for N3,278,317,359.89 with contract number: 6315.

Also, the ongoing water projects at Umueke, Inama and Uvuru all in Uzo Uwani L.G.A were few of the major projects also monitored by the Prince Ezeh.

If elected Prince Ezeh said, he hopes, among other packages to deliver on more roads, rural electrification and erosion control, school and public libraries, ICT centres, solar street lights, classroom blocks, and healthcare centers projects.
