The trouble facing the former Senate President of Nigeria Senate, Ken Nnamani seems to be far from over as more facts are emerging by the day on how the former number one man of the Senate mismanaged the campaign funds released by the party in the February 16th botched election.
Information available to us indicates that national leadership of the APC aren’t taking the matter lightly. Earlier this week, the leaders of the party stormed the national office of the party demanding that Ken Nnamani be made to refund the funds in his psssession.
According to a source, a visibly angry Adams Oshiomole threatened to take serious action against Nnamani and if he doesn’t refund the money immediately. It took the intervention of former Governor, Sullivan Chime who stood as a surety for the former Senate boss so they can be allowed to go back to Enugu and ensure that the campaign fund is recovered.
One of the candidates that doesn’t want his name to be mentioned told our reporter that “what Ken Nnamani did is not only treacherous to the party, it is very shameful as it is not befitting of an elderstateman of his status.”
“Ken Nnamani has shown the entire world that he can’t be trusted with money and how deeply corrupt he is.
“How can a man of his standing accept kickbacks from as little as #100,000 from some party leaders? Ken Nnamani could not account for over fifty million Naira (50,000,000.00) in his possession even when some party leaders met him in his house at Amaechi” the source said.
Another candidate accused Senator Nnamani of working for the opposition in Enugu State and doing everything to starve the APC of funds.
“Mr. Nnamani is working for the opposition PDP in Enugu State and I have told him this to his face severally.
“How do you explain his actions? we have been crying to the party and they seem to be keeping quiet but his latest action has vindicated us.
” I am very sure he will refund the said money because he will run back to the people he’s working for and intimate them that there is fire on the mountain” he concluded.
