Fidelity Advert

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, not to nurse the ambition of contesting the seat of the Senate President, as voting may just be an exercise in futility as the party enjoys an overwhelming majority in both chambers of the National Assembly.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Lanre Isa-Onilu stated this while interacting with newsmen in Abuja. He also emphasized the need for members of the party to adhere strictly to party directives.

He maintained that there is no going back on its nomination of Senator Ahmed Lawan as the next president of the Senate in the 9th National Assembly.

Speaking on the activities of the Minister of Transportation and Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, in Rivers State where he has been accused of being involved in anti-party activity, the APC spokesman insisted that the party has got the right to support any party of its choice.
