The Senator representing Bayelsa East constituency in the red chamber, Senator Ben Bruce in a recent video published by BBC said “Nigeria is going to be the laughing stock of the world because of my colleagues who can’t function in the 21st century”
He made this assertion in a reaction to the blatant refusal of the majority of Nigeria Senators to support the country diverting to electric cars- which is the new technology the entire world is embracing and accused the Senators of living in stone age.
He said in the video ” an electric car is very efficient, as you are driving, it shows you how many miles you have left, full charge goes for a 100 miles.
“See as simple it is, but my colleagues who are in the stone age don’t understand this.
“Our politicians are moving in the opposite direction, weather they like it or not, the world will move towards electric cars, that’s the way of the future.
“Combusting engine cars are inefficient, they kill people. Today, nobody in his right mind will build a factory to make combusting engine cars.
“we will end up being the dumping ground of the world because the world is moving in one direction, the Nigeria Senate is moving in the opposite direction” he concluded.
