The Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, has signed the bill passed by the Kano house of assembly which gives room for the creation of more emirates in the state.
With the bill signed into law, Kano state now has five emirates namely: Kano, Rano, Gaya, Karaye and Bichi, which implies that the domain of Muhammadu Sanusi, the emir of Kano, has been decimated as he’s now confined to 10 out of the 44 LGAs in Kano State.
The Governor by this act has lived up to his earlier vow to give assent to the bill immediately it is transmitted to him.
