The People of NARA UNATEZE in Nkanu East LGA of Enugu State now has a reason to smile
The Enugu state government has once again demonstrated it’s committement to ensuring that all communities in the state gets equal share from the Democratic dividends enjoyed by her citizens.
The state commissioner for chieftancy matters Hon. Emeka Okeke stated this on Monday during the presentation of certificate of recognition and staff of office to the new traditional ruler of NARA UNATEZE clan in Nkanu East local government His Royal Majesty Eze Anyi Ogbu (The Eze Odenigbo ll of NARA UNATEZE).
The event which took place at the state’s Ministry of Chieftancy affairs attracted notable political stalwarts, traditional rulers and memvers of the community that came out in their numbers.
In his speech, Commissioner Okeke adviced the new traditional ruler to ensure justice, equity, & above all fairness in his undertakings, and to run an all inclusive government.
He maintained that ” The Enugu state government under His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi is leaving no stone unturned in entrenching peace and tranquility in all sectors of the state”.
Responding, the new traditional ruler, His Royal Majesty Eze Anyi Ogbu (The Eze odenigbo ll of NARA UNATEZE) who could not hide his feelings, thanked the community members whose mandate he is standing on, and the state government, for finding him Worthy to serve in that capacity.
Eze Odenigbo ll assured the mammoth crowd of a hitch free reign and also call on Ndi Nara to support in his quest to transforming the community.
In an interview, Onowu Jackon Chukwu who spoke on behalf of other cabinet and members of the community reiterated the people’s resolve to working closely with the state government for the overall interest of Ndi Enugu.
“We pledge total committement to this course”.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of certificate of recognition and staff of office by the Enugu state government, traditional dance of different colourations amongst other side attractions.
