There’s a new twist to the ongoing hearing at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal as the witnesses of the the plaintiff, the PDP/Atiku were attacked by yet to be identified gunmen on their way to the court.

Breaking the news via their official social media accounts, the PDP said “that witnesses that were supposed to testify at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal for the PDP today were attacked by unknown gunmen.”

the information was relayed to the trial judge by Dr. Livy Uzoukwu, the lead counsel for the PDP and Atiku/Obi. Bar. Uzochukwu “informed the court that the witnesses were attacked on their way from their various destinations as they were coming to the court to testify against the fraud in the last February 23, 2019 elections” PDP said via their facebook handle.

In view of the above information, the Trial Judge, Justice Mohammed Garba has adjourned hearing on the @OfficialPDPNig and @atiku/@PeterObi’s Petition to Monday, the 15th of July 2019.
