ENUGU— The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe has applauded the efforts of personnel of ‘Operation Puff Adder’ of the Enugu State Command.
Balarabe gave the applauds on Wednesday, July 24 in his office while reacting to the success recorded by operatives of the operation puff adder of the State Command.
It was gathered that based on intelligence information, the personnel of the outfit struck in the early hours of today at Mgbowo in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu state where they recovered a locally made pistol, two cartridges and assorted handsets believed to have been robbed from victims by armed robbers.
The team equally arrested a suspected armed robbery kingpin identified as one Emenike Nweze. The suspect is now helping the operatives in their investigations.
Similarly, the operatives of the operation puff adder on stop and search along Aria/Milliken road on July 18, 2019 through intelligence information, recovered a locally made pistol with ten live ammunition concealed inside a big loaf of bread and put inside a polythene bag comprising two packets of cabin biscuits hidden inside a tricycle.
