The IG of Police and SP Ebere Amaraizu

As the world marks international youth day today August 12th, 2019 as designated by the United Nations to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding the youth, the National Coordinator of Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) SP Ebere Amaraizu has charged youth to “continue to be law abiding, shun negative tendencies like cultism and other vices as well as violence in order to make their environment safer and secured.”

He emphasized that, “the youths as leaders of tomorrow should strive at all times to make their environment safer and secured as well as contributing their quota in the nation building and development.”

He maintained that “youths haa larger audience and appeal to them to make use of their numbers positively in propagation of those good virtues that can bring about safety and security of our environment.”

He also advise youth to strive at all time towards, “ensuring that as they go about watching football, that they should for instance, exhibit high sense of positive solidarity which the sports preaches rather than making enemy that someone does not belong to their clubs.

“They should not allow their emotion to cause commotion.

He further used the occassion of the international youth day celebration to appeal to the teeming youths to join the ongoing Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) initiated by the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar ADAMU which is aimed at saving Nigerian youths from the claws of cultism and other vices thus becoming meaningful and contributing their quota towards the nation building.
