ENUGU— The Enugu State Police Command has said it would conduct training workshop on community-oriented policing for station and charge room officers on Thursday.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Ebere Amaraizu, the training workshop which will take place at the Superior Police Officers conference room “at Agbani road, will begin by 9am and will be declared open by the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe.”
The statement added that: “the training workshop which is being conducted by the State Police Command and supported by the Nigeria policing programme is to be used to address the identified gaps in knowledge, attitude and practice of station officers(SO”s) and charge room officers (CRO”s) to the principles and practice of community policing.
“It will also aid in improving the relationship between the police and the public and to help facilitate implementations of Campaign Against Police Unprofessional Conduct (CAPUCON) recently launched by the Command.”
