ENUGU— The Emene Division of the Enugu State Police Command has arrested one Gideon Balogun for allegedly attempting to steal shafts from a mechanic workshop located in Emene along Abakiliki road.
According to a statement confirming his arrest by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu, Balogun who hailed from Okpela in Edo state has been on the wanted list of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
The statement read that, “Information gathered revealed that the suspect, an inmate of Enugu prison has been on the wanted list of the Nigerian Correctional Service Enugu State, having allegedly escaped in 2017.
“The State Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe has directed for a full scale investigations in relation to the alleged nefarious activities of the suspect and to arraign him in court after investigations.”
