The Enugu state commissioner of police Ahmad Abdurrahman has warned officers and men of the command to always be professional and diligent in the performance of their police duties.
The Police Boss gave this warning today, 23rd of September, during his interface with Area commanders, Divisional Police Officers and other heads of police Departments and formations at the conference room of the state headquarters Enugu.
He pointing out that corruption is evil and debases integrity, stressing that “corruption brings about non performance” and further warned that any one caught in this web of corruption, will not be spared.
“We should say no corruption and be professional in our police duties.
“No officer should task or collect money from his personnel under any guise and patrol men, stop and search, traffic personnel as well as counter duty person must eschew corruption.
For me, don’t want to hear anything about corrupt practices and tendencies involving our officers.”
He also enjoined officers to watch out against activities of revenue /tax collectors on our high way within Enugu jurisdiction.
“We must police our area of responsibility and our activities must be intelligence driven devoid of any corrupt tendencies,” CP Abdurrahman concluded.
