Police campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), the initiative of Inspector General of p\Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar ADAMU Npm,Mni to aimed at saving our youths from the claws of cultism, has joined other Nigerians to commend the Inspector General of police for his commitment towards enhancing the capacity of all police spokesperson in Nigeria for effective performance and in line with the standard of international best practices.
According to the National coordinator of POCACOV, SP, Ebere Amaraizu: “The ongoing police public Relations officers training/workshop taking place at Golden Tulip hotel and resort, Agulu Lake Resort Anaocha local Government Area of Anambra state is quite on time.
Amaraizu went on to say that; “The training will help resharpen the skills of police spokesperson, give them the cutting edge and thus putting them in proper pedestal to be able to manage issues especially against misinformation, prejudices amongst others.”
He further maintained that “this training and workshop will further help spokesperson as veritable force to drive the vehicle of POCACOV community /stakeholders engagement in line with the tenets of community oriented policing as well as proper stakeholders engagement.
Amaraizu, who also is one of the spokespersons attending the training/workshop thanked the Inspector General of police IGP Mohammed Abubakar ADAMU Npm mni for the gesture.
He also gave kudos to Anambra state government piloted by Governor Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano for his immense support and hosting the workshop as well as the force public Relations Department headed by DCP, Frank Mba for the wonderful organization and packaging of the lectures and practical series in partnership with school of media and communication Pan Atlantic Univetsity.
The training which commenced on the 7th of October with the arrival of participants is expected to come to be concluded on Friday, 11th October, 2019.
