President Muhammadu Buhari has today, signed the 2020 appropriation bill into law.

The N10.59 Trillion budget was signed by the president in the presence of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, senate president Ahmad Lawan, speaker of the house of representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, among other principal officers.

President Buhari who expressed delight after signing the bill said he was pleased with the National Assembly for passing the bill.

“It is my pleasant duty, today, on my 77th birthday, to sign the 2020 Appropriation Bill into law. I’m pleased that the National Assembly has expeditiously passed this Bill. Our Federal Budget is now restored to a January-December implementation cycle,” Buhari said in a tweet.

The 2020 budget was increased by N260 billion from the previous which was N10.33 trillion.
