The Supreme Court has affirmed the election of the Governor of Oyo State, Oluseyi Makinde as the duly elected Governor of the state.
Dismissing an Appeal filed by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adebayo Adelabu, the appellate court after evaluating the evidence brought by Oyo APC and its candidate ruled that the status quo should be maintained.
Adelabu who lost to Makinde during the March 9, 2019 election, had approached the Supreme Court to contest the decision of the Appeal Court.
