The Supreme Court has on Tuesday fixed January 20th as the date for the Judgement of the Kano state Governorship election.
Abba Yusuf, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, had filed an appeal challenging the election of Abdullahi Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress over alleged irregularities in the election.
The seven man panel of judges headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad fixed the date after the counsels adopted their written addresses.
Abba Yusuf had lost at the Kano state Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and at the Appeal court.
The PDP and Yusuf had therefore approached the apex court praying the court ttp upturn the victory of Governor Ganduje and the All Progressive Congress.
