As the build up for the forthcoming local government election in Enugu state continues, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Ezeagu LG, Hon. Ani Chukwudi received a huge boost in his campaign as a coalition of all the major youth organisations in the council led by Ezeagu Youth Assembly, EYA unanimously endorsed him.
In his speech during the meeting where the endorsement was done, the President of EYA, Comr. Olinagu Chinonso G. said all the youths vanguard in Ezeagu agreed that its in the best interest of Ezeagu LGA that a man with the capacity of the PDP candidate emerges as the chairman of their council.
He also told the PDP’s candidate that the youths will walk the talk during the campaign and that’s why they tasked themselves and produced some campaign materials like T-shirt, cap etc. for their preferred candidate. He went on to tell Hon. Ani that they want to be part of the campaign process and has all it takes to lead the youth wing of the campaign.
The Speaker of Enugu Youth Assembly, Hon. Mark Onuoha said that because of their interest in ensuring the success of the PDP candidate in the election, all the youths both at home and in the diaspora are coming together. He assured him that he will emerge victorious at the poll and when he does, he should be rest assured that the human resources he will be requiring to leave a mark on the sands of time during his reign won’t be lacking as the youths of Ezeagu has all it takes.
Obidinma Okafor, the Financial Secretary of EYA said this is the first time all the youths in Ezeagu are coming together to endorse one candidate and this is because, they believe you are one them.
Hon. Walter Ozoanya, the councilor representing Olo ward I assured that all the councilors in Ezeagu both past and incoming ones are in support of the PDP candidate as he’s very confident that the standard bearer of the PDP is eminently qualified to lead the council as their executive Chairman.
In his remarks, Hon Chukwudi Ani popularly known as Salty who couldn’t hide his joy and appreciation said he’s overwhelmed with the resolve of the youths even when in terms of Naira and Kobo, they are not benefiting anything.
The Former Ezeagu PDP chairman said he has seen the youths demonstrate their capacity during the campaign for Hon. Chima Obieze and assured them that their support wont be in vain. He assured the leadership of the youth organisations that they will be fully represented in the campaign process and challenged them to ensure they have their voter’s card and cast their votes for the PDP.
