The National Coordinator, Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), CSP Ebere Amaraizu has described the ongoing 12th Nigeria Police Biennal Games in Anambra State otherwise known as Anambra 2020 as “quite on time and a step taken from a right direction by the Inspector General of Police in sustaining the contribution of the Nigeria Police Force towards the growth and development of sports in the country.”

Amaraizu, who champions POCACOV, an initiative of the Force aimed at saving Nigerian youths from the claws of cultism and other vices and making our society safe and secure, also doubles as the director in charge of South East Nigeria Nationwide League One.

He commended the efforts of the organizing committee led by AIG Alkali Baba as well as the Honorable minister for youths and sports for his developmental strides in the area of sports and youth-oriented programmes.

Amaraizu made this known while reacting to the essence of the police games which he described as a welcomed development going by the pedigree and numerous contributions of the Nigeria Police Force in the nation’s sports growth and development.

According to him: “The Nigeria Police Force has produced many players, athletes and sports administrators who have contributed immensely in the growth and development of sports in the country.”

He finally commended the efforts of Anambra state being the first state in the South East to host the all important event and enjoined players and athletes to uphold the required standard and discipline of the game.
