The Nigeria Policing Programme (NPP) of the British Council on 5th of March, 2020, honoured Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) with an Award of DEPENDABLE PARTNER in appreciation of POCACOV Numerous Contributions to Peace and Security in Nigeria.

The Award Ceremony is in commemoration of the end of the Nigeria Policing Programme event and took place at BON Sunshine Hotel in Enugu, Nigeria. The event witnessed a huge attendance of various policing actors in the state including the Governor of the state His Excellency RT Hon Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who was represented by the Deputy Chief of staff, Government House, Enugu, Professor Malachi Okwueze.
Presenting the Award to the National Coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices, CSP, Ebere Amaraizu, the Deputy Commissioner of police, Oliver Amaechi in charge of state criminal investigations Department of Ekiti state and who also was honoured by the nigeria policing programme for a job well done as NPP focal person pointed that POCACOV initiative has done very well in Nigeria in its Advocacy, sensitization and engagement of different stakeholders on the dangers of cultism, associated vices and galvanizing stakeholders support towards reducing the incidences and menace in line with the tenets of community oriented policing.
He further added that POCACOV has put some community oriented mechanism with maximum efforts in motion using community policing tools to mobilize Nigeria Youth aimed at facilitating intelligence led policing to strengthen National security.
Similarly, the National Coordinator of POCACOV, CSP, Ebere Amaraizu, was equally presented with a certificate of appreciation by the Nigeria Policing Programme of the Britishi Council in recognition of his Contributions to effective policing in Enugu state.
Other Awardees include the Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Veteran Nollywood actor and one of POCACOV ambassadors, Nkem Owoh ‘Osuofia’ Patience Ozokwor, Enugu State Commissioner of Police amongst others.
POCACOV is the initiative of the Inspector General of police, IGP, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu aimed at saving Nigeria Youth from the claws of cultism through advocacy, sensitization, mobilization, engagement with different stakeholders in line with community oriented policing tenets.
