POCACOV sensitising the public on ways to avoid contracting Coronavirus

…Advices youths not to panic

The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has commended the efforts of the Inspector General of police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar ADAMU aimed at ensuring that personnel of the force carry out their policing responsibilities safely and in line with the series of precautionary measures rolled out by the government to contain and curtail the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic across the country.

This commendation was given by the National coordinator Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) CSP Ebere Amaraizu on the 26th of March at the IGP MA ADAMU POCACOV Resource Centre in Enugu while reacting to what POCACOV is doing concerning the spread of the deadly virus.

According to him; “POCACOV has joined notable faith based organization and government agencies to sensitize communities and youths on the need to adhere strictly at all times, the series of precautionary measures put in place by the government to contain and curtail the spread of the virus and to ensure members of the public stays safe.

“We are mobilizing support of the youths at all levels to adhere strictly to the precautionary measures rolled out by the government to contain and curtail the spread and thereby remaining safe.

We are also mobilizing support and adherence using various medium of communications bearing in mind the impressiveness of social distancing.

“POCACOV is also advising youths as well as other well-meaning members of the society not to panic as that could help the spread of the virus.”

Amaraizu also called on the youths to avoid any unnecessary gathering that exposes them to this pandemic.
