Information available to Journalist101 suggests a that the APC youth leader for Enugu West senatorial zone Prince Nwanjoku James Okugo that was whisked away from his country home, Uduma in Aninri LGA of Enugu State on the orders of the Hon. Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has regained his freedom.
Journalist101 had reported that the APC chieftain was arrested by the operatives of IG of Police Intelligence response unit for accusing the Minister and his PA as being the COVID-19 index cases in Enugu State.
The Minister had through his legal team, demanded for a compensation of #250, 000, 000 for himself and his PA should Nwanjoku fail to apologize to them. Before the expiration of the time stipulated in the letter, James was arrested in a commando style from his country home and transferred to Abuja.
But speaking to our correspondent on the phone, the APC legal adviser in Enugu State, Barr. B.N Nebe said Okugo has regained his freedom.
“Yes I can confirm to you that he’s free. I just spoke to one of our lawyers that’s with them at Abuja, Barr. Ejike Ugwu and he said his bail condition has been perfected,” Nebe said.
